Modern Deck Replacement

Project Main Image

A full deck and timber walkway replacement in Oyster Bay where the existing structure had well and truly seen better days. The old decking was weathered, soft underfoot, and starting to separate from the frame. It needed to go.

We stripped the lot back and rebuilt from the ground up with new treated hardwood decking, clean lines, and a solid subframe underneath. The walkway runs down the hillside toward the water, with stepped platforms that follow the natural slope of the block. Everything was screw-fixed and spaced properly for drainage and airflow.

The finished result is a strong, low-maintenance outdoor area that makes the most of the property's waterfront position.

What We've Done:

  • Removal and disposal of old deteriorated decking and walkway structure
  • New treated hardwood deck and tiered walkway installation
  • Stepped platform sections built to follow the natural slope of the site
  • New subframe and bearer system for long-term structural support
  • Screw-fixed decking boards with consistent spacing for drainage
  • Full site cleanup on completion
